Statement from Georgia First Founder and Executive Director Natalie Crawford

“With deep gratitude, I am proud to share that I have been appointed Executive Director of Mended Hearts — a national and international organization dedicated to supporting and empowering heart patients, caregivers, and families — as part of a planned year-long leadership transition, effective January 1, 2026. At the conclusion of the transition, I will step into the role of CEO of Mended Hearts. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve at the helm of Georgia First, an organization I founded to grow the strength and welfare of our state, her people, and our collective future. Georgia First’s clear mission will remain steadfast through and beyond this leadership transition. I will continue to steer Georgia First as Executive Director as we continue to stand as a voice of reason and accountability in Georgia. As we evolve, Georgia First’s commitment to advocating for strong fiscal policies that stand up a robust middle class, expanding and protecting healthcare access and affordability, and promoting integrity in our democracy and elections is nothing short of unwavering. Alongside Georgia First, I look forward to continuing to build a brighter future for Georgians.”

Statement from Georgia First Board Chair Clint Roberts

As she embarks on her new role with Mended Hearts, we know she will carry forward the values that we all share, and we are looking forward to all she will accomplish. We also want to recognize Natalie’s ongoing dedication to Georgia First. The Board has full faith that Georgia First will continue to fulfill its mission to advance the lives of Georgians, and we are committed to supporting the organization through this transition over the next year.”
